This document will outline our event, including the vendors we want to bring into our school and introduce them to the community.

Thought Survey Creation and Implementation

As the leader of the Mascot Committee, we are sending our final through exchange to the community for their Notice/approval of our updated Mascot.  I was tasked with creating the Thought Survey that will be sent out.  This survey was sent out to parents via Phone, Email, and TExt Message and shared during Fall FA (Parent Conferences) to gain insight and parental and public support for the change.

As the Mascot committee met and reviewed district standards and requirements over this change, the public notice, support, and approval of this process were a big hurdle we needed to overcome.  Historically, we have not had as much community support and engagement, but this was a topic that all was interested in engaging with.

GoFan Football Account Creation

Through the investigation process it was determined that accepting only cash at our events was a deterrent for our community members who preferred a digital payment or cash app.  A couple of years ago, the district invested in a software called GoFan, but it was never introduced to our school.  I sat in on an intro meeting and received training on how to implement at our home football games.  We set up our first game for the Center football game and had some interesting results.  With the success of this, we will be using this for all sports and all home games for the foreseeable future.

Implementing a product like this is a real game-changer for our school and potentially our district. Our visiting fans and the community have complained for years that accepting cash only during our sporting events was a deterrent for our fans.  This solution has addressed it, and we have seen extremely positive results.

Taste of KCK Community Event

As part of my administration internship, I helped plan and manage the Taste of KCK community event, which supported our new after‑school program and fulfilled grant requirements for semesterly community engagement. I coordinated logistics for a student‑led cooking competition featuring our KC culinary students versus community/staff teams, arranged the event schedule and space, and oversaw permissions, safety protocols, and volunteer assignments to ensure smooth operation.

I also cultivated partnerships with local food vendors and community organizations to provide services and resources for students and families, handled vendor communication and site needs (power, tables, permits), and coordinated publicity with school communications. The event increased family engagement, showcased student skills, and connected attendees to community supports—directly aligning with our program goals and the grant’s objectives.

Final Artist Renderings Final Logo

Working with our graphic artist during my administration internship, we finalized a primary and a secondary logo following consultation with Dr. Williams. The designs were approved for release to staff and the community, and I led discussions on controlled distribution—defining official file types, approved colorways, and limited usage options to maintain brand consistency across classrooms, print materials, and digital channels. I also coordinated the rollout plan, so staff would have clear guidance on when and how to use each logo variant.

We began planning the physical and athletic implementations: updating community‑facing signage, exterior building marks, and interior wayfinding, and partnering with the Athletic Director to ensure all future uniforms and equipment follow the new mascot standards. As part of the implementation process, I’m organizing asset delivery, establishing approval steps for third‑party vendors, and scheduling pilot applications (starting with the Wrestling launch) to test the brand across real use cases before a district‑wide unveiling.
